Cambodia

FAEA is dedicated to supporting the transformation of Cambodia's food safety policy framework by addressing regulatory fragmentation and enhancing coordination across multiple government levels and sectors. Our strategy focuses on:

KEY INITIATIVES

  • Regulatory Framework Enhancement and Capacity Building: We prioritize building the capacity of government agencies to develop new, internationally compliant regulations using risk-based approaches.

  • Industry Support and Compliance Guidance: We assist the industry in understanding and complying with new regulations supporting the development of guidance materials and training that ensure businesses are well-equipped to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Public-Private Partnerships: We strengthen public-private partnerships to pool resources, expertise and networks, enhancing Cambodia's food safety infrastructure and management systems.

  • International Collaboration and Trade: We work to enhance the Cambodian government's capacity to contribute to Codex Standards, integrating Cambodia more effectively into the global food regulatory framework and improving the country's food safety and quality on the world stage.

By focusing on these strategic areas, FAEA aims to streamline and clarify Cambodia’s fragmented food safety regulatory framework, contributing significantly to the development of a unified, comprehensive policy.
